El 26 de junio del 2007 quedó conformada en Argentina la Red Cooperativa de Salud, con la adhesión de más de 60 cooperativas, mutuales y entidades solidarias.
La reunión en la cual quedó conformada la Red Cooperativa de Salud se realizó con motivo de la EXPOCOOP, organizada conjuntamente por COOPERAR y CONINAGRO.
En dicha reunión se trabajó sobre la necesidad de disponer de una plataforma de acción común para defender los intereses del sector de salud cooperativo y solidario, imponer una legislación especial, legitimar a todos los integrantes para la prestación de servicios en red ante la Superintendencia de Servicios de Salud y establecer las bases de la Obra Social de las Cooperativas.
